OOM: Reunion

Finally, they are together again, and kissing as if the other's lips were the very source of life.

Ragnar's big, warm hands slowly stroke Athelstan's neck and back while kissing him, slowly turning his head this way and that, as if seeking for the perfect angle that brings their kiss closest.

They find it soon enough, though Athelstan's mouth keeps moving against Ragnar's. Hesitantly, he begins to touch Ragnar's back in turn.

"Come," Ragnar breathes against Athelstan's lips, "let us..."

He steps backwards towards the large, comfortable, fur-covered bed, needing to have his beloved even closer. Just for a bit, while Sinric is safe in the warm water.

He glances to the bathroom door, but everything seems fine in there and Sinric is still singing.

"Yes", he whispers. "I want to touch you."

Ragnar sits, holding Athelstan's hands as he pulls him along, then lies back, offering himself to Athelstan's hands.

"Anything you want."

"Take off your shirt", he murmurs.

There's the soft sound of water being poured from the other room as Sinric tops up the bath with hot water. His song goes on, soft and warm and perfect as the background to their loving.

Ragnar takes off his belt, and then his tunic and shirt, in hardly more time than it takes Athelstan to say it.

"All yours," he murmurs.

Slowly, with delicate touches, Athelstan begins to explore Ragnar's torso.

"Athelstan," Ragnar breathes, softly, closing his eyes and leaning back his head.

[athelstanthescribe]

"I'm sure Sinric told you", he says quietly. "I haven't - been able to go even with him except once."

[bigarmy_strangepants]

"He told me," Ragnar says. "And he also told me that the one time you did, he imitated my voice. I'm happy to just have you in my arms."

"The other thing may come back in time", Athelstan continues, and kisses Ragnar's shoulder. "Now I have you back again."

"There is time, as much as you want," Ragnar says, closing his eyes with pleasure at that kiss. "Just touching and kissing makes me so very happy."

"Thank you", he whispers against Ragnar's skin.

Ragnar turns his head to kiss him again, just loving the feel of Athelstan in his arms.

Athelstan's lips are warm against Ragnar's, and his hands roam gently.

"Yes," Ragnar sighs, "just that!"

[athelstanthescribe]

"Just this", he says softly between kisses, "for now."

Cupping Athelstan's cheeks in his hands, he leans in to once more kiss him deeply once more.

Athelstan lies back against the pillows, letting Ragnar press down over him in the way he's always found comforting.

Ragnar is glad to do so, covering Athelstan with his warm, strong body, happy to feel the gentle hands on his back while they're kissing.

The kisses will go on for quite a while, reminiscent of that long ago night by the fjord, only broken by the need to breathe.

"I could do this forever," Ragnar whispers. "Just this."

[athelstanthescribe]

"We have no need to stop", Athelstan murmurs back. "Sinric will come to us when he wishes, he should be much warmer by now."

[bigarmy_strangepants]

"He must know that he is welcome, at any time," Ragnar murmurs into the kisses.

[athelstanthescribe]

"When we hear him get out of the bath", another deep kiss, "we can tell him so."

[bigarmy_strangepants]

"Yes," Ragnar murmurs after the kiss, "and make a bit of fuss over him, putting that salve on his bruises."
